With the mental health of our young an increasing concern, it's a topic that is rarely out of the news. it'seeze Web Design were pleased to be asked to assist Burnham-on-Sea based charity In Charley's Memory with their new website, designed to increase their online presence and promote their story and very worthy cause.
In Charley's Memory (ICM) is a charity based in Burnham-on-Sea that works towards raising the profile of mental health and making it matter for young people. They contacted it’seeze Web Design Taunton to design an invigorating new website with a particular appeal to young people.
In Charley’s Memory works to support not only the individual, but the network of people around them. This is done through education, support services and advocacy. Fundraising events and the generosity of the public allow the charity to achieve its aims and work towards the prevention of suicide in young adults.
It was important that the new website was exceptionally user-friendly as most of its users would be younger adults who tend to access help of this nature through mobile technology. Therefore, the website needed to be designed to work responsively across all screen sizes whilst giving the youngsters confidence that they could contact ICM quickly and easily using social media where possible.
ICM were also clear that the look of the site was very important, again because of its potential users. To this end, they were delighted to be able to find every single one of the images they wanted through Getty Images, as premium stock photos are available with every it'seeze website.
Finally, it was important that website users could quickly and easily make a donation to the charity through PayPal.
The team at it'seeze Web Design Taunton have created an excellent new website for In Charley’s Memory, providing them with the functional and powerful online presence they were looking for.
Working with ICM we designed an interactive site with a tranquil feel, providing their young potential clients with a straightforward user experience.
The navigation header is ‘sticky’ so that when users scroll through the site, they are always able to see where they are in the site. All of the contact icons, including social media and PayPal, are always visible too. A bespoke link to PayPal has been created making donations to the charity always accessible. Contact has been made even easier with a pop-up logo which is visible from the bottom of a screen as the user scrolls through the site.
In Charley’s Memory are delighted with the website and hope that it will appeal to their many users whilst enhancing the online presence of this important mental health charity.
In Charley's Memory opted for our 'Max' website. They wanted the ability to link with their social media presence, add multimedia clips and have the potential to blog in the future, as well as add as many new pages as they need. The 'Max' package is our primary business package and perfect for a growing organisation due to its powerful functionality and suitability for the needs of growing organisations.
